The full index

Typical tracked price spread per destination against an indicative US private benchmark. Open any procedure for the clinic-by-clinic breakdown and a savings calculator for your home country.

Destination figures are the published-price spread we track across providers; the US column is an indicative typical private list price, not a quote. Savings compare the cheapest tracked destination's typical price to the US benchmark and exclude travel, accommodation and any revision cost. UK, Canada, Australia and Germany benchmarks are on each procedure's cost page.

What the data also shows

The index isn't only about price. Across every provider we track:

  • 84% publish pricing

The rest quote only on enquiry — a transparency gap we flag on every profile.

  • 39% have registry-verifiable accreditation

We link straight to the issuing registry so you can confirm it yourself.

  • 64% name their surgeons

Where they don't, we say so rather than imply a named team.

  • 0% publish any outcome data

Almost none — the single biggest information gap in medical travel, and we won't pretend otherwise.

About this index. Compiled by the MedTraveling editorial team from public provider and aggregator sources, with confidence labels on every figure. It is decision support for patients comparing care abroad — chiefly from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Western Europe — not medical or financial advice. Methodology: how we work.
